Local directory details

If desired, you can manually populate a local directory with the necessary files to create your bootable media. The local directory that you select to acquire the update files from must contain a number of different components:

1. The updates that you wish to use. Note that these updates must be in RHEL6(System X) or RHEL7(ThinkSystem) format due to the bootable media environment that is being used. No additional updates will be checked for or downloaded; the tool will use whatever updates are in this directory.
2. The resource file(s) needed to make the media bootable. These can be obtained by "Look in a local directory" on GUI mode, or "-l workingdir" on CLI mode. If these resource files are not in the selected directory, then you will be prompted whether you wish to have them automatically downloaded.

If all of the components listed above are present in the local directory, then an Internet connection will not be required to create your bootable media.
