Determining the Operating System Version

At the UNIX level, enter the following command:

uname -a

Determining the SAP System Release

To determine your SAP source release, choose System  Status in your SAP system.

The release appears in the SAP Release field.

Determining the SAP Kernel Version

To determine the version of the SAP kernel you are using and its patch level, proceed as follows:

1. In the SAP system, choose Administration  System Administration  Monitor  System Monitoring  Servers.

2. Select a server and choose Release Notes.

Determining the Date of R3trans

Call R3trans with the following command:

R3trans –V

The program displays the date and the version number.

Determining the Version of tp

Call tp with the following command:

tp –V

The last line displays the highest patch level.
