System Move: Switching the Operating System
For a system move, execute additional steps in case the operating systems do not match.
Context
If the operating system of the source primary application server (PAS) host is different to the operating system of the target PAS host, you must execute an additional step after you have copied the SUM directory from the source to the target system landscape.
Procedure
Extract the appropriate SUM archive, which belongs to the operating system of the
target PAS host, "over" the SUM folder that was copied
from the source PAS host, so that the SUM executables fit
to the operating system and can be started with the operating system of the
target PAS host.
