Handling Short Dumps in Phase PARRUN_SMIG_UT_MKPF1_S4

Short dumps in phase PARRUN_SMIG_UT_MKPF1_S4 can occur with error message TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED.

Context

Memory consumption can reach more than 1GB per batch process during phase PARRUN_SMIG_UT_MKPF1_S4.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the ABAP heap memory has at least 1 GB for each available batch process or the number of batch processes needs be reduced.
  2. Use report RSMEMORY to set the ABAP heap memory parameters abap/heap_area_total, abap/heap_area_dia and abap/heap_area_nondia to an appropriate higher value.
