Monitoring the Replication

SUM uses two techniques for replication of data: ABAP batch processes (running on the shadow/temporary system) and R3load processes.

The replication is started in SUM phase PROCESS_REPLICATE_RRC_START and you can monitor its status in the SUM Process Control Center. To do so, proceed as following::
  1. Open the Process Control Center area of SUM Utilities in the SUM UI.
  2. In order to see what replication processes are currently active in the respective sections ABAP Replication Monitor and R3load Replication Monitor, view section CRR Control Center.
  3. To stop or to start the replication, you can use the buttons on the right side. Next to the Stop button, there is also a log file button that you can use to directly open the corresponding replication log file.

The CRR Control Center can also be used to change the number of batch processes and R3load processes. However, the number of batch processes is limited by the SUM process parameters.

If you want to add additional batch processes, when the replication is progressing too slowly, follow the steps described in the following sub-section Reconfiguring the Temporary System to Add Resources of this guide.
