To add resources, you need to reconfigure the temporary sytem.

Proceed as follows:

1. In the SUM Utilities area, choose SUM Parameters  SUM Process Parameters.

   At the bottom of the dialog, an option to reconfigure the temporary system (or shadow system if applicable) is displayed. The option is only shown when SUM displays a dialog.

2. Adapt the number of ABAP processes, enable the checkbox Yes, reconfigure the temporary instance and choose Save.
3. Return to the Process Control Center. In section Process Control Center - Background Process Monitor, you see that a daemon process takes care of stopping the temporary system reconfiguring the profile and restarting the temporary system.

   Optionally, you can log on to the temporary system to verify in transaction SM50 that more batch processes are now assigned.
