The following table lists significant new features and improvements of the Zero Downtime Option of SUM 2.0. The table also indicates the SUM version in which the new or improved features were introduced.

Trusted RFC not needed anymore

The previously required preparation step to activate the user DDIC for a trusted RFC connection from the bridge system to the target system is no longer necessary. The chapter Activating the user DDIC for a trusted RFC connection that existed in previous guide versions has therefore been removed.

Simplification of SLT trigger handling

For SLT replication handling, the SLT trigger handling has been simplified. In addition, some phase names have been renamed. For more information, see SLT Replication Handling.

ZDO Consistency Check enhanced

The ZDO Consistency Check now also checks and validates the consistency of SLT scenarios. For more information, see SLT Replication Handling.

Multiple SLT servers are supported

For SAP HANA database, ZDO supports now multiple SLT servers. For more information, see SLT Replication Handling.

High availability maintenance mode is supported

ZDO supports now the update of high availability systems. A dialog in the phase SUM_ASK_ZDO_CONFIGURATION asks you whether you want to switch to HA maintenance mode for further execution. For more information, see High-Availability Setup.

BW Check

The documentation regarding BW Check and the phase RUN_RSPTBFIL_ZDM_CHECK_BW has been updated. For more information, see Specific Phases for ZDO.
